Ideal conditions off the West Cork for the leading multihull entries taking part in the Rolex Fastnet Race 2013.  Sidney Gavignet and co-skipper Damian Foxall were taking part in the race with a full crew as part of their preparations for the Transat Jacques Vabre later in the year. Pacing these speed machines from a small boat to take pictures isn't a practical option so positioning for the best light angle with the iconic rock as the backdrop was the goal for a newsworthy image. Rounding the rock shortly after mid-day meant there was time to get ashore and syndicate the image to the media resulting in national front and back page newspaper appearances.
