About the shot :

Preparing for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, the debuting Nacra 17 mixed multihull Class competed at the Sailing World Cup in Hyères, France. Swiss team Nathalie Brugger/Matias Bühler had already qualified for Rio, so they were fighting the elements rather than having to worry about that. I selected this picture for the spectacular play of light, water and crew which creates an illusion of the boat being rocketed out of the water.
