About the shot :
The first hours of the Rolex Fastnet Race 2021 greeted sailors with 30kt winds and a choppy solent. The RORC press rib endured a soaking while attempting to capture the action.
This was my first ever opportunity to photograph a big regatta start and I rose to the challenge. The full on experience led to many fabulous images, with this shot of the IMOCA Groupe Apicil being my favourite.
