About the shot :
A hectic finish after an epic race. We were forbidden to go out further than the channel of Les Sables d'Olonne to go and greet Armel because of the brutal conditions on the water. Due to a technical problem he was unable to drop his sails after crossing the finish line and came in the channel very fast. The SNSM (French national lifeboat association)'s boat with a strong spotlight passed behind L'Occitane, giving an eerie atmosphere to the already memorable scene.
