This image is from the 2023 NatWest International Island Games held in Guernsey between the 8-14 July. Delayed by two years due to covid, the island welcomed around 2,500 competitors and officials from 24 islands to take part in 14 sports during the week long event. The sailors raced every day in conditions ranging from 6 knots of breeze and calm seas to 25 knots and a decent swell which made an excellent test for the assembled racers. There were many memorable images from this event but this one of the ILCA 7 fleet from one of the light air days stood out for me - the arrangement of the sails, the colour palette and the number of nations represented just sets it apart.
