Gulf of Lion

This photo was taken on the last leg of this year's "The Ocean Race" in the Gulf of Lion. After days of calm, a strong Mistral caused spectacular sailing conditions. Deborah was at the bow recovering a sail when this picture was taken. I chose it because it shows the inhospitable working conditions and yet is technically correct. It's recognisable because the focus is on the right spot - the eye. As a photographer, such details are important to me.
