Working outdoors is always a challenge, and Mother Nature rarely plays along. The Australian Women's Keelboat Regatta this year was no exception. With barely enough races for a championship, I had to think outside the box to capture the story. Boats weren’t moving, so my usual shots were out. And snapping photos of the crew napping on deck? A little too laid-back for my taste. Instead, I hunted for vibrant colors and interesting graphics to bring the event to life. It wasn’t the action-packed regatta I hoped for but it still beats sitting an office with air conditioning and neon lights!
