In this fascinating era where the most advanced America’s Cup boats, the AC75, sail over 100 km/h, to photograph these boats and their spectacular splashes has become easy, however, to photograph the sailors on them and reflect the human action has become a real challenge and to be taking photos in front of them is something that intimidates. When I managed to take this close-up bowshot focused on the sailors onboard, I felt that I got a different and unique picture that I could not get in the last two years photographing this kind of boats. Sir Ben Ainslie at the helm is fully concentrated in the manoeuvre, as well as the rest of the crew behind him. The picture was taken during the prestart of the second race of the America's Cup Match against Emirates Team New Zealand.
