Philippe Huon is the onboard photographer for Team Evrika. Evrika’s first owner raced her in the 1980s, entering the Fastnet Race and winning the Swan Cup. Her second owner, Pink Floyd’s Rick Wright, practically lived aboard her for 25 years, making the boat famous while cruising in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Evrika is now racing around the world as one of five French entries in the Ocean Globe Race. This retro race, which started on 10 September from Ocean Village, Southampton, follows the same route as the clipper ships and the inaugural 1973 Whitbread Race in similar, affordable yachts. Each entrant in the OGR must nominate one crewperson for every leg of the race as the onboard photographer/videographer (OBP). For safety and media purposes, 3 satellite photos and 3 minutes of onboard video may be sent once per week.
