A ‘skûtsje’ on a stormy day during the 11-days regatta ‘SKS Championship Skûtsjesilen 2024’. This ship called 'De Twee Gebroeders' ('The Two Brothers') is a former cargo ship from 1913 that was used to transport peat, manure and other cargo to the farms in the Netherlands. To do this, the ships had to enter shallow waters. That is why the ships were made long and flat. Nowadays, they are used for regattas. Nice detail; the ship is now sailed by two brothers; Skipper Jeroen Pietersma on the left at the helm and his brother and advisor Gerhard Pietersma on the right.
