My first involvement as a media crew member in the Volvo Ocean Race in 2011-2012 onboard Groupama has been a game changer in my carrer. Sailing and photography, two of my passions, finally met to become my new professional activity. Since then, I have been involved in three other round the world races (Volvo Ocean Race onboard Dongfeng Race Team in 2014, Jules Verne Trophy onboard the maxi trimaran Spindrift in 2015, Volvo Ocean Race 2017-18), a transatlantic record onboard Comanche in 2016 and several missions for prestigious sailing teams such as Macif or Gitana. An experience in the cinema industry with the long feature movie “En Solitaire” gave me a different approach to offshore sailing and has developed my interest in photographic theory and technique. But my main goal remains to show to the public what it feels like to be racing offshore on a sailing yacht. With Eloi Stichelbaut, we have founded polaRYSE in 2018, a company specialized in image production for offshore racing.
